Having entered the design industry in 2013 and working on noteworthy projects, I established my independent practice in 2017 as Innover by Sakshi Gehani — a studio that carried my work into the world and shaped me through years of award-winning, deeply personal projects. Svarruh Atelier is its evolution. A new name for a truer direction.
For over a decade, I designed constantly — across typologies, scales, and styles, including holiday homes and wellness retreats. The work grew, and the studio grew. But somewhere, quietly, the spark began to fade.
And then life asked me to pause.
When someone you love moves through a period of deep fragility, everything becomes more immediate — more tender, more real. Not long after, I entered that same stillness myself.
For the first time in my 13-year-long practice, I wasn't just an interior designer in motion — but a human being learning to rest and recover.
My relationship with space changed completely.
I began to notice what I had once overlooked — the air, the materials, the absence of nature in our cities, and the quiet power of environments that allow us to soften. I experienced space not as a designer, but as someone in the middle of healing.
For over a decade, I created spaces that were admired.
Today, I create spaces that are felt. — in the body, in the breath, in the way life unfolds within them.
This shift became Svarruh Atelier.

I serve as the Design Lead & Creative Director from inception to handover, crafting the vision, the layout of the land, the built form, and the lived experience of holiday homes and wellness retreats. In this role, I coordinate with an array of professionals, including an architect, structural consultant, landscape designer, MEP/services experts, and contractors & artisans. This collaboration ensures that every detail aligns with our expertise and reflects the ethos of Svarruh Atelier.
This limited scope design consultation includes the creation of a Floor Plan, Concept, Room-wise Mood Boards, and a Land Master Plan. Focused solely on design, this engagement does not involve site coordination or execution, making it perfect for clients seeking design direction without on-site coordination, but backed by expert guidance
